Macadamia // Deep Repair Masque review

I've always had Macadamia on my to try list, especially the Deep Repair Masque. Before my Birthday last month, Buyapowa had this pop up as one of their deals, I waited till it reached the lowest price before joining the deal myself. I originally ordered this for my Mum, however it's ended up in my hands. Without the deal this masque retails at £20.50, though I've a few offers.

Macadamia 101:
The Macadamia Deep Repair Masque, is a hair treatment to revitalise dry, damaged hair. In this masque we have macadamia, argan, tea tree and chamomile oils, along with aloe and algae extracts. All these work together to penetrate your hair with the miracle you need. The formula is fairly runny and you really don't need as much as you would an ordinary masque and smells divine, it's another salon worthy scent, fresh, clean & a little fruity.

How to use:
Use like any masque, after shampoo and conditioner comb this masque through your wet hair and leave on for at least 7 minutes. I leave mine for 20 minutes while I have a bath, if I do happen to use this in the shower it's closer to the 7. Rinse and use no more than twice a week, this product has a lot of oil.

What I think:
I love this product, but at full price I wouldn't repurchase it in a rush, my to try list is never ending. At the moment whenever I need a masque I'm reaching for this. I had compliments after one use, it really gives you smooth, beautifully scented, shiny hair! I only need to use this once a week, it washes out easily, with no build up or greasy residue left.

Packaging:
Who could resist this packaging, the floral print is pretty! I prefer my hair masques to be tub form so I have no wastage. The whole packaging is secure. To stop any leaks the inside has a lift off lid, slightly awkward in the shower though.

Warning:
Chatting to my hairdresser yesterday I mentioned this said product, her experience wasn't the same as mine, this actually turned her blonde hair yellow. Very yellow. Blonde's stay clear. I did buy this for my Mum & thought I'd get a few sneaky uses to review on here, however my Mum dyes her hair blonde, more product for me.

Who I'd recommend this to:
If you abuse your hair with heat every day like me, then this could become a staple in your hair care routine. If you have very dry brittle hair then why not look at the gift sets to try the entire range.

Have you tried anything from the Macadamia range?
Disclaimer: purchased myself.

  1. I love this mask! I've not been without it for about two years now! I get mine from salon supplies though, so it works out quite a lot cheaper! xox

    1. I don't think it's worth the risk is it, the salon girls all were against using it for the blonde reason, I know if I were blonde I'd cry if I went yellow :P

    1. I think with the deals on Buyapowa and beauty bay at the moment it's a little more friendly, if it were full price I wouldn't snap it up :) There's a lot out there now though isn't there, constantly picking items up with argan in x

  9. I sort of dismissed it as Aussie have macadamia in and they're cheaper but I would love to try the hair masque. For reasons you already know, I can't. And I'm too frugal too even if I could. Haha

    1. Aussie hasn't got anything on this stuff, well for my hair, I see the Aussie treatments as normal conditioners for mine.
I hope it all gets sorted for you Liz :(

  11. This is really expensive, the Aussie mask and Naked Haircare shine mask are very similar and much cheaper :D

    1. I've just got Naked to try, so I can't wait, it's nice to have a little luxury, I find Aussies treatments as normal conditioners, I've used them too much over the years to work on mine anymore

    1. It's a little pricey, but I think with the deals it's a good treat, it really would, I don't use much and my hairs long :D

  13. That is SO expensive, I use any old conditioner, like aussie 3 minute miracle with 3 tablespoons of oil on wet hair, and it works perfectly - my hairdresser recommended it!
