Makeup Revolution // Pro Go Set review

The Beginning of 2015 saw Makeup Revolution launch their own makeup brushes to the already extensive line of affordable products. Having yet to get my hands on the full size brushes despite reading so many rave reviews I couldn't wait to test out the new miniature additions available in the Pro Go Set that landed on my desk. Inside feature four miniature makeup brushes - they really are teeny tiny, complete in a handy plastic storage pouch. Retailing for just £4.95 the brushes are made from the finest of dual fibre synthetic hairs allowing you to use them with not only powder, but cream and liquid products also.

Out of the four brushes my favourite has to be the Mini Face Brush due to the amount of uses and products that can be used with it. Since being 'mini' the brush works well for contouring - or at least my attempt at a contour, applying both cream and powder blush as well as general powder application. My least favourite would be the Mini Foundation Brush as I don't use pointed foundation brushes. They usually sit in the back of my collection OR to use with the occasional concealer. The mini foundation brushes bristles seem just a little too long for me to personally use the brush for concealer on the go, though I have found it to be great with powder highlighter. Talking of concealer, since we're heading into summer I tend to wear less eye makeup due to being a hay fever sufferer, I'll be using the Mini Eyeshadow Brush as my on the go concealer brush, it's the softest concealer brush I own & a little stiffer than the included foundation brush in the Pro Go Set. We also have a Mini Angled Brush which is the most perfect size for filling in my brows and works well with both cream and powder brow products.

If you're looking for a travel set of brushes to stash away in your handbag I'd highly recommend grabbing a Pro Go set when you next place an order on the Makeup Revolution website or passing your local Superdrug. It's a brilliant dupe for the Real Technique set. Having put them through their pace with plenty of products and a good wash. I haven't experienced any shedding, as I have with some of my much more expensive brushes & being the size they are, they dry incredibly quick. You have to hand it to Makeup Revolution, I don't know how they keep on creating & launching such fantastic and affordable products. I know I'll be getting plenty of use from the Pro Go Set this summer. I've also been loving their latest brow addition which you can expect to see on LW soon. Have you managed to get your hands on a set yet? Lucy xx

  1. I've never really used mini foundation brushes either, even for concealer. I've just never really felt spending money and making space for a whole separate brush just for concealer isn't very practical for me. Thanks for the review!

    1. Thanks for commenting! I'm glad I've found a use for it though rather than it sitting around collecting dirt! :P x

  2. I keep contemplating the zoeva brushes but maybe I need to try out some of these to save some money! Great review. I'm the same with pointed foundation brushes, they tend to leave me with a streaky finish! M xx
