EcoTools // 6 piece eye brush set

While needing another pick me up, mine seem to occur weekly, I've actually considered freezing my bank cards this week, I hopped over to my favourite online beauty site, Cute Cosmetics to place my order to finally try EcoTools!! EcoTools are a brand I've eyed up for so long due to being eco-friendly, I can at least use that as an excuse to justify my unnecessary purchases. EcoTools are available worldwide, being from the UK, you can find them in Boots and many online sites, even eBay. However I've given up ordering from China, if you've got the patience and luck to wait to see if yours will be allowed in you can save some serious money on these brushes.
Like all EcoTools brushes, the handles are made from Bamboo, a highly sustainable plant, while the bristles are made of taklon making them 100% cruelty free. The 'ferrules' the metal part to you and I, is actually recycled aluminium. The five brushes come in an all natural cotton & hemp pouch, with a mirror, perfect for travelling, I've kept mine in the pouch until I reviewed, they'll now stand in my sigma brush holder as they've become some of my most used brushes. You can never have enough eye brushes, especially when you're lazy at cleaning them like me. This set is also perfect if your starting off with makeup, EcoTools clearly label how to use each brush rather than a 'newbie' trying to work how to use a Sigma F32, though brushes are fairly straight forward.

In this set you have a (L-R) blending brush, crease brush, highlight brush, a shade brush & a smudge brush. I don't agree with all the 'recommended names/uses'. I personally think the blending brush is far too big to blend, it's the perfect shade brush. The crease brush is one of my favourites in this set, it's soft, it's fluffy and it's angled. The highlight brush is your standard tapered blending brush, while the shade brush is great for accent colours, rather than a 'shade' it's ridiculously small. The smudge brush is your basic bristled smudge brush, it's so smooth. The smudge and shade brushes are denser than the other three, which are fluffy while holding their shape. I've had zero shedding and wash them how I regularly wash my brushes, as eye brushes they dry fairly fast, no quicker than the brushes I already own. The only down side to this set is you get 5 brushes, because the pouch counts as the sixth item, it's not overly attractive. Maybe I'm just being finicky.

Have you tried EcoTools before?
Disclaimer: I purchased these myself.

    1. If you can wait extra then it's even better to order from China! How ridiculously cheap, they're like £3-£4 :o
