Skin care has always been important to me, I'm lucky enough to have never had huge breakouts. Especially when I was younger, people would be getting 10+ spots at a time and I'd have one. I've used my fair share of skin care brands over the years, some have been awful and some are amazing. I'm put off trying new skin care products just in case I break out. Though I wasn't going to let this stop me from trying the small starter sets of the new No7 skin care range! This set didn't even cost me a penny, I used my collected Boots points to buy this. I'd recommend picking one of these up if your curious, for £5 or 500 points.
I have very dry skin, so I obviously picked up the Dry/Very Dry starter kit from the Beautiful skin range. What does this set claim to do? It was created to help dry skin behave like normal skin < is there any such thing though? While providing tailored skin nutrition for healthy looking and bright skin to give you 'beautiful' skin. Each kit comes with three products. Though each kit is for a different skin type, you still get a cleanser, day cream and night cream. Plus all products are Hypo-allergenic, perfect for the very sensitive skinned. As well as the 3 products you get a £5 voucher to use on your next purchase of the skin care range.
No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Balm surprised me, when I first opened the tube and put a pea sized amount on my finger, I didn't really think it'd go far let alone do anything since being a creamy formula. I got my face wet, before applying the cleanser and massaging in. At this time I still didn't think it was or had done anything special to my face. I then used a clean face cloth to wipe the cleanser off. This is a great quick cleanser for people who just don't bother with skin care due to lack of time or 'it takes too long'.
This cleanser dissolved all my makeup I had on and left my skin smooth and healthier. The 30ml tube will go far.
Next, No7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream, I'm fussy when it comes to moisturisers, takes a lot to please me. The day cream claims to nourish and hydrate skin for 24 hours, being a rich and intensive moisturiser cream. Every time I've used all the products together, my skin has felt smooth and soft the next day. My makeup goes on a lot better too. You get 10ml in this tube. I chucked my usual out before I finished it after using this moisturiser and my Burt's Bees has been put to the side since using this one! I've always used the same cream for morning and night, so I like that with this set I get to see if separate creams really do make a difference.
Lastly, the No7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream. The night cream is still a white cream but with a little gel like texture to it, however I wake up with smooth, soft skin in the morning. I've hardly gone near my LUSH products since purchasing this. This instantly nourishes skin and is said to help promote optimum hydration while you sleep. My skin certainly feels great in the morning! I've skipped a few mornings cleansing since this, which I shouldn't do all the time, but my skin felt great enough!
Overall I'm really impressed with this skin care range from No7, I'm always careful with what I use and haven't really drifted from my usual LUSH skin care products. I'll be sure to make use of my £5 voucher that came with the set, there's a hydration mask in the dry/very dry skin care line that looks worth a try, I'll no doubt pick that up and get another small set to get all three products again!
Have you tried any of the range yet? Even if your a different skin type? Did you like your range?
I absolutely love this range. I plan on doing a review shortly but wanted to use it for at least a month first before I decided.
