Christmas Gift Guide 2017 // For Her Stocking Fillers

When it comes to buying for females I like to think life is a little easier, unless you're buying for someone who doesn't stop shopping that is! Stocking Fillers are always my favourite posts to write as I always manage to find fun, beauty items for my Mum each year OR find the odd treat early for myself whilst out and about shopping - you've gotta reward yourself for all the bag carrying OR waiting for the deliveries to arrive. This year I was a little too rewarding by using my coil and gynaecology surgery as excuses along the way - If you follow me on Instagram you'll know I went mad on the Advent front, but they've cheered me up along the way. Here's what I've picked up for Christmas 2017 and what I think you'll love.

There's nothing better than waking up and smelling some of your favourite Lush products in your stocking come Christmas morning. Each year I fill my Mum's with Lush entirely. This year all the Lush featured in this guide is hers, we've got their new Snow Fairy additions of the Naked Shower Gels, Naked Body Conditioners and then the Jelly Bomb Bath Bomb, not to mention Snow Fairy Fun which returned. There's also some very special items I ordered online - Snow Fairy Body Spray & Snow Fairy Solid Perfume. She'll be over the moon with these alone, let alone seeing Christmas Eve, Snow Angel and Christmas Sweater alongside these goodies. It's a good job our showers broken on the Christmas countdown as she's got no excuse to skip running baths for showers or to break the skincare routine with Buche de Noel.

If you're buying for an early bird, then a Christmas read is a nice idea to give to someone. I really enjoyed Holly Martin's Christmas at Lilac Cottage, but also loved Sarah Morgan Moonlight over Manhattan. I've been reading a lot of Christmas fiction so keep an eye on Friday for more ideas which you can find in your local shops or get on your kindle. Other relaxing treats to go well with the books are sheet masks, they're easy to whip on and off, here I have offerings from Oh K - found at Debenhams and ASOS, Garnier in all drugstores and supermarket beauty aisles and not to forget a hand cream, scrub and foot scrub from good old Champney's - 3 for 2 in Boots. You could also pick up The Body Shops festive hand creams as a fun filler too.

Novelty Stocking Filler Ideas can be found anywhere this year, but I loved the Unicorn Makeup Bag for just £4 in Primark, I stuffed this with favourite sweets and whoever this is going to will adore it. I was also lucky to receive a selection of Jelly Belly Hand Sanitisers* recently in Bubblegum, Blueberry and Cherry. These are great if you've got someone who is always hands on or visits say a hospital often. I know I use mine to death when I'm out and about - we're in winter, nobody can be sick for Christmas. To make a 3 for 2 offer up I also grabbed the Mad Beauty Panda Headband for myself - they're selling like hot cakes in my local, there's never any left when I go in - at £4 I imagine a lot of girls are going to be waking up to the various animals.

When all else fails - you can't beat filling stockings with sweet treats and those that are festive themed compared to your standard chocolate bar. Cadbury's always bring out the truffle filled snowmen, I personally adore the vanilla but can only find the chocolate mousse. They also have the fabulous foil wrapped Dairy Milk Santa's and don't forget the Snow Bites. You should also check out Ombar* - for those who are dairy and gluten free, there's plenty of bars, of different sizes and buttons to pick over. I've filled a Newlook Cat Mug up with Cadbury treats, along with a few little beauty treats for someone I buy for. Newlook are great for homeware, all their pieces are affordable and on trend, not to mention reduced right now.

Nail products are always good items to include in stockings, as are lip products. Here I have the House of Ho Holland, stick on nails in golden baubles. These are for my Mum, for Christmas Day as hopefully my Dad does all the washing up and I help her prep as much as I can the day before. There's also a set for New Years by Elegant Touch - both found in Boots and very glitzy and glamourous. She's also ALL about the lipstick so I grabbed two gift sets for her this year - Soap and Glory's Lip Lip Hooray and Sleek's Matte Me Metallic Must Haves - I think I'll be getting this one too, I've also got it for a few others too. Vaseline have Limited Edition tins out, they're affordable little items that everyone can do with. Ciate is a brand I adore - with having the Mini Mani Month as my Advent this year. You can buy their items online, with plenty of time for various shipping options and there's so many discounts now floating around.

Other beauty items that are a little different than your regular drugstore and department stores come from Nugg, a brand I was finally able to try after winning a giveaway this year. Nanshy Brushes are incredible quality - I adore the Buffing Brush* so much. It's so much better than Real Technique's. Urban Decay Setting and Primer Sprays are must haves over the next couple of party weeks, along with newly launched in the UK It Cosmetics - I screamed when I got a little parcel from them in the post. The CC Cream* testers I've sampled are insanely good and they're easier to get the right shade if you don't know the receivers shade.

What are you wishing for this Christmas? And have you picked up any of the featured items for anyone you're gifting to this year? I'd love to know if you'll be last minute shopping or if its just a case of done the shopping - only the wrapping and stocking stuffing left to do. Mines thankfully all done apart from if the odd item catches my eye. Lucy xx
