There's a new subscription box in town - nope, it's definitely not beauty based. Bake Box is the first of it's kind in the UK and I can't tell you how long I've been waiting for someone to create such a service. Designed for those 'blossoming bakers' amongst us, each box will feature various products & tools so that you can not only build up an impressive kit but also learn to bake like a pro as well as complimentary access to the Bake Club site for masterclass videos, bonus recipes and the chance to share your creations with other bakers.

Unlike a lot of the subscription boxes out there, Bake Box is a bi-monthly subscription. Can you imagine the pounds we'd all put on if the guys actually created monthly boxes!? The contents of each box is kept a secret, though you can expect to find 6 recipe cards and at least 6 high-quality and specially curated bake ware items. Each of the six recipe cards feature clear instructions - even for the more complicated bakes. The recipe cards are also fully illustrated, hole punched and categorised. You'll find two 'hero recipes', one show stopper - Mary Berry eat your heart out, one dessert recipe and two simpler recipes that are perfect for getting your children involved. The six bake ware items are all tailored to your recipe themes, you won't need to splash out on extra tools. Two of the six will be 'innovative bakeware' pieces so you can stand out from the crowd. Bake Box have also teamed up with Rainbow Dust to ensure subscribers of professional-grade cake decorating products for all those finishing touches.

What did subscribers receive in Box One? Having heard of Bake Box just before Christmas, I still had no idea on what to expect. I knew the contents would be good but not THIS good. Having watched many food shows over the festive period I was actually wanting to pick up a Bundt cake tin after seeing Nigella whip up many variations. What was the 'main' feature item of the box!? A Silicone Bundt Cake tin for the Chocolate Bundt Cake with white chocolate icing recipe. I prefer to use Silicone bake ware, especially for when bakes are as intricate as this. Following on from the silicone mould, we also received a silicone baking sheet which features large circles. This is to be used to create a Polka Dot Swiss Roll - another bake I've been wanting to try out from watching far too many Youtube videos. As mentioned Bake Box have teamed up with Rainbow Dusts so in this months box one of their fabulous food colourings made an appearance. The colourings are really strong, with them also being able to be used in cake batter.

Other items include a dress shaped cookie cutter for Bake Boxes 'Fashionista Biscuits', this is one of the more simpler recipes - perfect for including the children. There's also three circular cut out-stamps, a striped stencil, polka dot stencil, wheel cutter and pipping bag to ensure all your bakes have the finishing touches of a pro. The box actually arrived just in time for my Dad's birthday alas he'd already picked out what cake he wanted and I didn't get around to making the impressive two-tier striped birthday cake which requires both stencils and stampers. As you can see the contents is pretty incredible right?

If like myself you love to bake I can't recommend the new subscription service enough, having tried various 'baking magazines' in the past the quality of items & recipes is insane for the small price of £14.99. I'm planning on sharing each recipe I bake from Box 1 on LW with the stunning Bundt Cake as my first Lucyy Bakes of the year. Have you heard of the Bake Box yet?
