Hydrate with Operate Drinks | Lucyy Writes

I've always been a fan of trying out new health drinks, for as long as I can remember, most weekly food shops would consist of me grabbing a new or new found favourite 'health' drink. Does anyone else remember the days of Vitamin Water? Beauty Water? Little Miracles? The list could go on.

I was recently sent a selection of drinks from Operate Drinks, a new, upcoming brand in the UK. Each product is powered by plants and completely sugar free - a crucial factor when I opt for such drinks.

Operate Drinks Review 1
Operate Drinks, are classed as a sports drink, containing only natural ingredients and Nootropics, providing energy to the mind and body without compromising on taste. Currently Operate, has a range consisting of three flavours. Each is unique, with a delicious flavour and health benefits. The flavours vary benefits from, Energy, Boost and Recovery, one for the lifestyle you lead. Each drink is 'low in calories' , contains no added sugar or refined sugars, are full of vitamins and BCAA's, as well as plant power. When picking up a bottle of Operate, you are giving your mind and body the best nutritional hydration there is.

The three flavours on offer are; Energy, which features Peach and Green Tea. Boost, Lemon and Yuzu and lastly Recovery, raspberry and cranberry. Each drink contains BCCA's, which are a blend of essential amino acids (leucine, isoleucine and valine) that can help aid the repair and building of muscle mass.

Energy, features L-theanine, which is naturally found in green tea and often is feature in supplements to boost mental function. It also contains vitamin B3, which is proven to improve/reduce tiredness and fatigue - for someone who doesn't sleep well, this has been a nice change to my regular coffee, especially as we've been fighting humid weathers in the UK.

Recovery, was the flavour to most surprise me. I'm not the greatest lover of cranberry - however the mix of raspberry made it less 'bitter' and despite having no added sugar, was delicious over ice on our hottest day. The drink contains added Ashwagandha, which is a supplement I have taken in the past, to combat stress exertion. Recovery also contains Vitamin B6, known for again, reduction of fatigue as well as Glutamine, an essential to muscle recovery.

Lastly, Boost, my favourite of the three due to being so Zingy and refreshing, teamed with crushed ice and sliced lime. I need to stock up on this drink whilst the warm weather is lastly. Boost features Vitamin B5, benefiting mental performance and reducing tiredness. Acetyl-L-carnitine, has also been linked to helping memory function (a perk, when you've worked in dementia and mental health). Yuzu, just adds a nice twist to anything, I'm a huge advocate whether it appears in food/drink or beauty products.

Each flavour can be purchased in packs of 6, via Operate Drinks for £12.50 - which for a 'health/sports' drink I personally think is incredibly reasonable, especially for a company that is fresh on the scene, vegan and contains no hidden sugars or preservatives. Operate Drinks also offer a taster pack, one of each flavour for £4.99, including free UK shipping.
