Go LUSH Yourself // A French Kiss

Evening lovelies, you know you own too much LUSH when it takes you 20 minutes to decide on what product you'll use in the bath. Cheeky LUSH order is on it's way to me too at the moment. Any excuse to make myself feel better. This is one product I don't buy that often, it's a little pricey for the size of it. But after using this again, I can see why it was one of my favourites when I started using LUSH all those years ago. A French Kiss Bubble Bar retails at £3.95 for 100g.

I love the design of this product, a purple and white, Hershey's Kisses, shaped bubble bar. I think that's what attracted me to this bubble bar back in my early LUSH days. Though it is actually inspired by a Japanese sweet. As you you know from previous posts, at Christmas time, Christmas Kisses comes back, though a completely different scent, it shares the design. A French Kiss comes topped with a piece of Lavender if your lucky, mine sadly is missing it's sprig. You'll get 4 uses from one of these, I wish I'd been more sparing with my LUSH purchases six years ago, I'd use the whole item back then.

This was the perfect product to get rid of the aches and relax me. French Kiss is a bubble bar to miss if you aren't a fan of Lavender. As I've got older, I personally do like a bit of lavender in the evenings. Unlike some of the other lavender scented products this won't knock you straight out to sleep (twilight, does that for me), instead this contains a few more herbs such a rosemary. Hence leaving you relaxed and refreshed rather than heading straight into your bed.

If your looking for brightly coloured waters, you aren't going to get it from this product. Clearly. Since it's two toned and contains a lot of white, your going to have cloudy white water, unless you chuck the whole product in just to get a tint of purple. Which is a complete waste. Using 1/4 gives your mountains of bubbles and plenty of moisture since it contains coconut oil. My skin feels silky smooth after a long soak and is lightly scented with lavender. I'll sleep well tonight.

Have you had many French Kisses before?

  2. Lucy do these leave like a residue on the skin at all? I feel like that with most bubble bath & why I avoid, but I keep reading your lovely Lush posts & am getting more like I want to try! :-)

  4. Haha your right, I think an appreciation of lavender comes with age. I used to hate it, but now I have a lavender bath before bed, as well as using a lavender pillow spray and drinking lavender tea. Anything for a good nights sleep. I'm not a huge fan of the bright colours in bath bombs easier - so I'll def be trying this! Great review! x

  7. Ooh, this product looks lovely, I don't have a bathtub at university, which is mega-annoying when I want to try out some of the Lush products, but I might have to treat myself to this next time I'm at home :) xx

  10. Fridays are always my Lush bath days, I got myself into a strict routine hehe, and I'm really looking forward to it this friday.
This product sounds fantastic and it's ever so great that the product can be broken and spared for future baths.
