Summer // Where do you buy your bikini's?

When it comes to bikini season, I'm pretty fussy, I lack enough body confidence, let alone when there's a super model tanned twig parading around with her bum cheeks out. When I go away I don't spend all day by the pool, I find it a waste, I go on my little adventures, plenty of shopping and come back late afternoon to chill out before dinner. I've picked out my five favourite bikini's that I feel fairly comfortable in whether I'm wearing them under sheer items in the day or by the pool. I don't need a lot of support because I generally lack in the chest area. I'm only a B, so I'm lucky to not have to splash out on them.

Topshop:
I love Topshop for bikinis and underwear, I usually have to go up a size but the quality is brilliant and the prices aren't that bad. Bikini tops retail at £12, while the bottoms retail at £8. They come in various colours and other designs, but I love the gold metal detailing. The tops come with detachable straps too. I picked up a plain black pair of bikini bottoms to mix and match with my following items.
Newlook:
When it comes to Newlook I'm not a fan of their bikini's and underwear, especially bra's. However I've had this plain black bikini top for a couple summers now and it looks brand new still. I guess we just don't get the weather here that often. The top came in a two pack, but I threw the other away, I didn't like the shade of pink. I'm sure they still do them, if you want a simple, cheap, padded bikini top.
Dorothy Perkins:
I had this bikini last summer, it was my most loved and still is, down to the leopard print and coral inside. It has a little padding, just the right amount and fits me perfectly. I wish I still had a DP's in my town. I mixed and matched with the black bottoms or wore both together, I was staying in the most amazing African hotel, so I fitted in very well. Prices were a little more than Topshop.
Contagious*:
Now out of all the items this one will be the one that you're most likely sat there thinking is she crazy!? No, I think it's pretty cute. I love my sparkles and I think this will look amazing away on holiday. Topshop had a few sparkle infested bikini's last year. I wouldn't wear the two pieces together, that's where my black bottoms and top come in. I'd mix and match and make it look a lot more classy. I have a size small and it fits great, if not a little big! I love it.
Where do you buy your bikini's from?

  1. This year I picked up most of my bikinis in New Look and Asda...actually this is the first year I've had a holiday to buy them for and I'm not really comfortable in them so I wanted cheap and cheerful. I struggle finding tops that suit a 32A bust!

  3. I lack a little bit in the chest department so I like seeing the styles of bikinis other people like that wear because sometimes I find some bikinis just don't look right with small chests :) Lovely post!

  4. I have too much in the chest department so I have to buy my bikinis in a special breast store and they still don't fit.

Whenever I am on the beach I look like a out of work porn star.

Not many places have bikinis that fit 32HH :(

    1. Aw, I don't think anywhere truly caters for everyone, if your small there's nowhere and if you have a bigger chest it costs a fortune :( I'm sure you look fab!

  5. H&M are brilliant for on trend and reasonable bikinis. I also adore the caprice bikinis but they are a little pricey!

    1. H&M always have amaazing designs, but the sizing is always different :( I range from 6's to 10's and sometimes the 6's are too big!?! I'm with you on the Caprice, too pricey for me!

  7. I tend to go to New Look or River Island for mine - Im like you and can pretty much get away with any sort of style due to me lacking in the boobage area :) I like the moulded ones by New Look - theyre so afforable too. I picked up some really pretty ones from La Senza in past years too xx

    1. I used to have a La Senza outlet near me, they'd have them all discounted, for £5 a time, sadly it's gone because of the trouble :(

  8. I really love the leopard one! I also have the Pacha style from contagious. I haven't thought about mixing it with my plain balck bikini, but it's a good idea!

When I left the UK in May, I thought I would be back by now, so I didn't bring my bikinis (M&S, H&M and contagious). So I bought one here, in a departement store. It's lack and white, striped!

  10. I picked a few up at Primark, the only problem with that is a lot of girls were wearing the same bikinis while I was away on holiday! x

    1. Haha, when I went away last year, the hotel was shoddy and only gave you half an hour in a courtsey room coming home, there was a pile of primark bikinis and shoes all by the bin, I guess it's good to buy and chuck! :D I get too attached.

  11. I've learnt that cheap bikini's are the best for me. Bought one in Topshop last year for £26 and after a weeks holiday it went all baggy and the white turned a minging colour from the sun lotion and chlorine (even though I travel washed it every time I wore it). For that reason I tend to opt for cheaper ones now - I'd rather throw away an £8 bikini than one which cost me £26. Matalan and Primark are usually where I get them although I found a really nice one in Select this year for only £8 altogether. Like you I don't have massive boobs so I can get away with cheap ones with hardly any support. If I was blessed I'd probably have to spend quite a lot more on one. Suppose that's one plus point to having a small chest lol xx

    1. Topshop had these gorgeous crochet one last year, may have been RI and it was a joke how much! Cheaper and seperates are the way to go, at least you save a little and mix and match easier. That's awful! I always stray from white, for those reasons.

  12. The pink with the rose gold/gold detailing in the middle and clasp is my favourite, as is the greeny version of it :-) Both gorgeous!
